JLA Treasures will perform written appraisals of personal household property, antiques and collectibles for probate, estate and/or inheritance tax purposes.  We will also appraise for insurance, marital and business dissolutions, charitable contributions, and for estate planning purposes.  In addition to her extensive experience, our owner, Carol Matesic, is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), www.isa-appraisers.org. Furthermore, we have in-house expertise in appraising and valuing collectible motor vehicles (our valuations of expensive collector vehicles have withstood Federal Estate Tax examination, and have been admitted as expert witness testimony in probate and civil litigation).  No one is an expert on everything.  We recognize when outside assistance is needed in appraising items of particular value or significance. The key is having the experience and expertise to recognize the potential of those items. We have extensive professional contacts, locally, nationally and even internationally. We will seek specialized expertise when needed.
